Dr. Valiente has never out grown his passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health and loves the process of designing someone's new smile knowing the impact it will have on their life.
The Professional Side
Dr. Valiente lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and is a caring husband and soon-to-be father. He speaks Spanish fluently and has a younger brother who is in dental school.
Dr. Valiente was born in Cuba and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. After completing his undergraduate training at the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biological Sciences, he received his D.M.D. from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida, where he received extensive training in diagnostic, periodontic, operative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and oral surgery procedures.
In recent years, Dr. Valiente has been recognized by the community and his peers for his excellence in implant and restorative dentistry. Dr. Valiente received his certification in implant dentistry from the prestigious Engel Implant Institute, where he received extensive training in advanced oral surgical procedures (dental implants and bone grafting). Dr. Valiente pursued further surgical training and completed a Master Course in advanced sinus surgery at the Hiossen Implant Education Center. He is also certified in Functional Occlusion from The Dawson Academy and Clear Aligner Therapy from Invisalign.
Dr. Valiente is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He also finds it important to give back to the community and has been involved in many outreach programs that provide dental care to underserved populations, such as the Freedom Clinic and Gainesville Community Ministry. Dr. Valiente joined Normandy Lake Dentistry in 2020 to establish himself in Duval County.
Outside of work, Dr. Valiente loves to try out new recipes with his wife, work out, and have weekly dinners with his parents.
